I read about Roman Entertainment at websites done by Josh and Jack, Emily, and Nikita and Cydavia. On Jack and Josh's, I think that the Coliseum background is outstanding and a terrific choice. The colors pop and it tells the reader what the website is about. On Emily's website, I especially enjoyed the relavent and graphic pictures such as the chariot racers. My favorite thing about Nikita and Cydavia's website was their clever titles and pages like "reservations" and "venue". One interesting fact I learned is that Circus Maximus was a chariot race track that can hold up to 180,000 people. It is the biggest single complex for public use in the world. Another fact I learned is how the Coliseum and a sand covered floor to soak up the blood of the Gladiators. If I were to improve one thing on Jack and Josh's website, I would change the font to something a little bit more moderate, so that it is easier to read. One thing I would change on Emily's website if something had to be improved, I would add a little bit more information on the home page. Finally, one improvement I could make upon Nikita and Cydavia's website would be to make the fashion page a little less wordy.

To learn about Roman entertainment I visited Josh and Jack, Emily, and Nikita and Cydavia’s websites. On Josh and Jack’s site, I liked how they had a map of Jerusalem so you could see where everything was in relation to one another. An interesting fact I learned was there was usually a whopping 12 chariot races per day. One thing I would improve is I would change the font to make it easier to read. On Emily’s website, I liked her color scheme because it made it easy to read and it went well with the pictures she picked out. One interesting thing I learned was Rome had shows in theatres and they were free. One thing I would improve about her website is proofread it a little more because there are a few grammatical and spelling errors. On Nikita and Cydavia’s website, I liked the photo gallery under the venue tab and their captions for the photos were funny. One interesting fact I learned is Greece had the first amphitheater. One thing I would improve is I would delete all the things that came on the template like the address of the fake party place and the phone number.

In order to better understand Roman Entertainment in the time of Christ, I visited Jack and Josh’s, Emily’s, and Nikita and Cydavia’s websites. One thing that I really enjoyed on Jack and Josh’s website was the vivid background picture of the Coliseum. I loved the simple yet sophisticated setup of Emily’s website. Also, I found the style of Cydavia and Nikita’s website to be quite intriguing. I learned that the Coliseum had a sand floor to soak up the blood of the gladiators, and that both men and wild animals fought in the Coliseum from Jack and Josh’s website. From Emily’s website, I learned that the Circus Maximus was the single biggest complex for public use in the world, and that Roman theatrical productions had little or no dialogue. Also from Nikita and Cydavia’s website, I learned that in the days of the Roman Empire, the baths were the size of palaces and occasionally more luxurious, and that they were centers of gossip and social interaction. The information on Jack and Josh’s website was mostly descriptive, but they could’ve listed more facts about the gladiators. Emily’s website was very decorative, but the same images were used multiple times, instead of having many different pictures. Also, Nikita and Cydavia’s website was informative, but they could’ve incorporated more information on Roman Amphitheaters.

To learn about Roman Entertainment I looked at Josh’s and Jack’s website as well as Emily’s website. Josh’s and Jack’s website had a very cool and easy to use website set-up. Two of the most interesting facts I learned were how the Coliseum was also called “the ring of death” and also how gladiators were looked down on by society. One thing that I would improve on the website would be changing the font to make it a little easier to read. I loved Emily’s choice in font and color scheme I thought it looked very nice. Two facts I found interesting were that the Circus Maximus could hold 180,000 people and also that comedies in theater used simple or no dialogue at all. One thing I would improve on the website would be adding their names to the site.
