To Ran and Malachi: I really liked how you used buttons that redirected you to certain topics. That helps for quick searches rather than just having to read all of it. What I found interesting was that even though gladiators were slaves they became rich and famous and that about 500,000 people have died in the colosseum. I think you could improve with more specific topics for the buttons. Textiles and dancing aren’t that related. Still pretty good though

I really liked these websites because they were well done and really popped. I enjoyed the way both of them included more than enough information about their own topic. I never knew that gladiators, equivalent to modern sports athletes, were slaves as well. I also learned that harpoons were also used to fight which I thought was fascinating. But Ryan and Malachi, I didn’t see any cited pictures and Sam I literally did not have any complaints.

In order to learn about entertainment, I visited Ryan and Malachi’s website and Samantha and Margaret’s website. I loved the colors and pictures used on Samantha and Margaret’s website, it really caught my attention. On Ryan and Malachi’s website, I thought the use of different tabs of information was clever. From Ryan and Malachi’s website, I learned that in chariot racing there were always four teams; the red, green, white, and blue teams. I also learned from Samantha and Margaret’s website that most gladiators were chosen from slave markets because very few people volunteered to be gladiators. Ryan and Malachi’s website could be improved by adding a picture to catch people’s attention on the home page. Margaret and Samantha’s website could have been improved by changing the font color of the works cited so it is easier to read. Besides those small critiques, both websites were enjoyable and made it easy to learn.

On Ryan and Malachi's website I learned about the recreation and entertainment of ancient Rome. I liked how the information was categorized in different sections and that they used buttons to make the information easier to access. One thing that I learned from their website is that not all gladiators were slaves, some people of the upper class volunteered for the fame that is associated with participating in the event. Even though I enjoyed the organization of Ryan and Malachi's website, I think their site could have more pictures and more color to make the website stand out! Overall I was impressed. When I read Sam and Margaret's website I learned about Roman entertainment. I loved the slideshow of pictures on their site, so creative! From the site I learned that hunting was introduced in 252 BCE. The Pictures on the site were interesting yet some of the information was hard to read, maybe they could have chosen a brighter color! As a whole I was fascinated by both websites!

To learn more about entertainment in the time of Jesus, I visited Ryan and Malachi's and Samantha and Margaret's websites. I enjoyed Ryan and Malachi's color scheme that they used. For Margaret and Samantha's website, I liked that the pictures they used were consistent with the time of the Romans. On Ryan and Malachi's website I learned that Chariot Racing was known as "The Sport of the Kings." On Margaret and Samantha's website, I learned that Chariot racing was one of the most popular forms of entertainment. Improvements could be made on the font of Ryan and Malachi's website because the font color was a little too close in shade with the background color. Margaret and Samantha could change up the color scheme a bit and make it more eye catching.

To learn about entertainment during the time Jesus was alive I visited Samantha and Margret's & Ryan and Malachi's websites. I really liked the way Sam and Margret had a slideshow of pictures on their home page; it was really creative and eye catching. I also really liked the way Ryan and Malachi had buttons that you could click to see the different topics they had because it made it easier to navigate their website. One interesting fact I learned was that Gladiators (although they were often slaves) were almost as valuable as a horse. I also learned that about 500,000 people have died in the Colosseum, which is really crazy/scary to think about. To improve Ryan and Malachi's website I would change either the font or the background color so the words would pop a bit more. I think that Sam and Margret's website is perfect so there is nothing for me to critique.

I really enjoyed both of your websites they were full of facts I didn’t know and I like the way that Malachi and Ryan did the pop up effect to make it easier for us to access the information. I liked sam’s background it was a fusion of light and dark colors. One fact that I learned from Ryan and Malachi’s website was that the coliseum was for reenactments of events for the romans and gladiator battles. On Sam’s website I learned that hunting wasn’t popular but it was about a man vs. animal or animal vs.animal. What Ryan and Malachi could do to improve the website is that they could change the background for Textiles and Dancing. I think Sam could improve the website by putting a little bit more information other than that I think she did great.

To learn about different kinds of entertainment during the time of the Romans I looked up both Ryan and Samantha’s websites. Both websites each had a unique display. Samantha’s website had a slideshow of pictures which I enjoyed being able to look through and get a sense of entertainment. Ryan’s website consisted of a lot of interesting facts that helped me to better understand his topic. An interesting fact in Ryan’s website is that Chariot Racing was a very popular sport. In Samantha’s website an interesting fact is that music was played in public and private places all the time. A way Ryan can improve his website is maybe he can make it more accessible. The format of the website is unique but having to go back and forth made it a little difficult. Samantha’s website had cool pictures but it was harder to read because of the font style.

Today I visited Ryan and Malachi’s and Sam and Margaret’s websites about entertainment. I liked how Ryan and Malachi used pictures from back then on their website. I liked how Sam and Margaret had a slide show of pictures on their website. I learned from Ryan and Malachi that if you were a left hand gladiator you had an advantage. I learned from Sam and Margaret that hunting was a form of entertainment, not as popular as the others but widely practiced. Malachi and Ryan could fix their website by making it a little easier to read. Sam and Margaret could fix their website by putting more pictures of the events. I enjoyed both websites and learned a lot.

To gain knowledge in the area of entertainment in the past I first visited Ryan and Malachi's website. My first impression was how much information they put into the site, I could tell that they worked hard and understood the material. It's hard to only pick two interesting facts but one of my favorites is how chariot racing became a professional sport with teams going against each other, I think this is cool because the chariot races were our football games of today. Another interesting fact was that the Colosseum was not always for fighting on solid ground, the structure could be filled with water and sea battles were then performed. An area in the website that needs to be improved is the homepage, it seems a little unorganized and without a reason for putting that certain information in. The second site that i learned about entertainment from was Margaret and Sam's website. I thought that they did a great job on displaying there knowledge cleanly and organized on the website. I was surprised to find out how big of a role music played in the ancient peoples lives also the thought that hunting came about around 252 B.C.E was shocking. A area for improvement is maybe putting a little more facts for each subject in the website. Both were excellent!

Today I visited Ryan, Malachi, Samantha, and Margaret’s websites about ancient entertainment. Ryan and Malachi’s website was about the entertainment of ancient Rome. I like the background because it fits the ancient Rome theme. I like how the pictures slide from left to right. I learned that roman government used entertainment to gain public favor and that track for chariot racing goes counterclockwise. The only negative thing is that it seems there is very little info about the topic. In Samantha and Margaret’s website is about ancient roman entertainment, dancing, and textiles. I like how you can pick what you want to learn about on the site. I have learned that gladitors were an expensive investment. The only problem to that the textile sections doesn’t match the other sections.

To learn about entertainment at the time of Jesus, I visited Ryan & Malachi, and Sam B. & Margaret’s websites. I enjoyed the setup of both websites, because it made it easy to read. I also thought it was a great idea of Sam and Margaret to add an effect to their website. An interesting fact I learned about on Ryan and Malachi’s website was that the teams in chariot racing would be paid before they raced and the winner would receive the prize money. In Sam and Margaret’s website an interesting fact I learned was that most of the gladiators were chosen from salve markets. I enjoyed both websites and they were very well done, therefore I could not find anything to critique!

Malachi and Ryan’s website was on entertainment. There website was very organized and very detailed. Two interesting things that I learned are, The Colosseum was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles such as animal hunts, mock sea battles and the races were very popular especially the chariot races. One thing that could have improve your website could be the background so you could read the text better. In Samantha B and Margret’s website was very easy to read. I learned that hunting was used as a form of entertainment, and chariots were rode while standing. One thing that could have been improved was changing the text to a different font.
