I like Sloane's pictures they went along with what she wrote in her paragraphs and Rachel had a lot of a variety of different bits of information. I learned that people danced to religious ceremonies and everyday amusement also I learned that a lot of varieties of different instruments that they used. if they wanted to make their websites better Rachel's pictures aren't from the time of Jesus so she could modify those and Sloane could add a bit more color to her website.

For the topic of Music I looked at Rachel Ziemba and Sloane Nicoletti-Watson’s websites. On Rachel’s website, I really liked how her text stood out, was easy to read, and there was a consistent color scheme. On Sloane’s website, I really liked how she quoted Bible verses and even added a “sample song.” One interesting fact I learned from Sloane’s website is that men and women danced, and they also danced at every national celebration. I also learned that in the Bible, military victories were followed by a large celebrations which had dancing and music. From Rachel’s website I learned about interesting popular instruments at the time ranging from the lyre to the lute. Another thing I found interesting was that two flute players were required to attend a funeral. To improve to Sloane’s site, I would have tried to add an audio clip of a song. Other than that it was very well done. To improve to Rachel’s site like Sam said I would have tried to find images of drawings from that time period. Also, I would have made the title “Music and Dance” a little bigger. Both of these were very nice and I learned a lot more about music and dance in the time of Jesus.

I looked at Rachel Ziemba and Sloane Nicoletti-Watson's websites for the topic of Music in Jesus' time. On Sloane's website, I like how she organized her information into three even columns and made her font easy to read. On Rachel's website I really liked how she had a picture with each paragraph of information. One interesting fact I learned from Sloane's website was that children learned how to sing and play instruments in school as a part of their education. Another fact I found interesting was that dancing occurred at every feast. An interesting fact I found on Rachel's website was that brides sang lamentation songs before leaving their houses to get married. Also, I did not know that bagpipes were used in Ancient Rome and I found that interesting. To improve Sloane's website I would have listed some instruments used in that time period, but the website was very well done. To improve Rachel's website I would have used a bit more color in the background of her main paragraphs but other than that Rachel had some really good information. Both websites were very informative and fun to read.

For learning about music I looked at Sloane Nicoletti-Watson's and Rachel Ziemba's websites. Sloane's website was neatly organized with great pictures illustrating her information. Rachel's website had information that was very thorough and left few question's. On Sloane's website I learned that the Romans and Greeks had an influence on the songs in Jesus' time. On Rachel's website I learned of all the instruments that would be played during the songs and dances. Sloane could have included some more colors, whether in her photos or her text and Rachel, as Sam stated, could have used some photos that matched a little better with the time period discussed. I enjoyed learning of the music and dance in Jesus' time from these two websites.

In order to learn more about music I visited Rachel Ziemba’s and Sloan Nicoletti-Watson’s websites. In Sloane’s website I like how she gave an example of a song and that she had verses from the bible relating to the subject. In Rachel’s website I like how neatly organized the entire website is. In Sloane’s website I found it interesting how chidden learned how to sing and dance during the school day while in Rachel’s I found that some wedding dances were seen as religious devotion for the bride was very interesting. Sloane’s website was extremely well made although I believe if she wanted to improve it she could have used more colors. Rachel’s website was very well contracted as well but I think if she had broken up the information more and not just made 3 paragraphs it may have been improved.

I wanted to learn about music in Jesus’ time so I looked at Sloane and Rachel’s websites. I looked at Sloane’s website first. She had a very nice website and I liked that she had a sample of a song from the time period. Her information was very well organized and I learned a lot. I found it interesting that children learned how to play musical instruments as a part of their education. This website is excellent. To improve it I would make the title more centered above the text. I looked at Rachel’s website next. I loved the color scheme and how the words stood out and were easy to read. I found it fascinating that two flute players were required to attend funerals. To improve the website I would suggest bulleting the information under the titles. Both of these websites were excellently organized and very interesting.

To learn about Music during the time of Jesus, I visited Sloane’s website and Rachel’s website. One thing I liked about Sloane’s website were the many Bible verses scattered throughout her website; they were a nice touch. One thing I liked about Rachel’s website was the title, which was very creative. I learned from Sloane’s website that feasts always included dancing, no matter how big or small the feast was and that David wrote many songs in the Old Testament. I learned from Rachel’s website that former Greek slaves usually taught nobles music as part of their education and that trumpets were used to signal military commands, the start of an event, or the hours of prayer. One thing I would do to improve Sloane’s website would be to bullet her information so it’s not all clumped together. One thing I would do to improve Rachel’s website would be to add one or two more colors to make her website more colorful. Overall, these websites were well done and very entertaining to read.

To learn about music during Jesus’s time I visited Rachel’s website and Sloane’s website. On Sloane’s website, I really liked how everything was easy to find. I learned how in the time of Jesus they had dances to many songs and used lyres and tambourines as instruments. One thing that I recommend she do differently would be to have a better title and intro to the website to catch the eye. On Rachel’s website I thought her layout was fantastic and really easy to find everything. Two interesting things I learned were how music and dance were very common in society and how the shofar was the most popular instrument. One thing I recommend she do differently is to have better pictures that pertain to the time period.

I visited Rachel and Sloane’s websites to learn more about music in Jesus' time. Sloane’s website was very organized and neat which made it easy to read. On Rachel's website I really enjoyed her colors and pictures. One thing I learned from Sloane’s website was most of the songs came from Roman and Greek influence. On Rachel's website I learned that music and dance were essential parts of family feasts and banquets. One thing I would recommend for Sloane was to make the font size of her paragraphs a little bigger so they are easier to read. For Rachel I would recommend putting more pictures from Jesus' time on the website. I really enjoyed learning about music is Jesus' time through Rachel and Sloane’s websites.

To learn more about Jesus' time i visited Sloane and Rachel's websites. I also agree with Erin on the point that Rachel's color scheme is very enjoyable to look at, and draws attention to the website, and Sloane's is very organized and easy to read. One thing i learned from Sloane's website was that there are many dances that go along with the songs. On Rachel's website i learned that middle class musicians were generally looked down upon by aristocrats. One thing i recommend for Rachel's website is make the font and pictures bigger so they are easier to see and read. Also, for Sloane's website is the pictures could be more clear, because they were a little blurry. Overall the websites were very good and had very good information.

To learn about the music in the time of Jesus I visited Sloane’s website and Rachel’s website. Sloane did a good job of providing a lot of information in a easy to read way. Rachel made her website look good by combining pictures from modern times in relation to information about the time of Jesus. It was really interesting to learn that religious dance and ecstatic music were sometimes found to inspire prophetic visions. Also, it was very nice to learn that many of the songs had specific dances that went along with the music. Sloane had a simple spelling mistake “All of the Bible passages come from the NAB” as simple mistake that can be easily fixed. Rachel could capitalize the H in home making it look neater.

To learn more about music and dance, I visited Rachel’s website, and to learn about singing I visited Sloane’s website. One thing I really liked about Sloane’s website was that she included Bible verses throughout her page, as I think that is very interesting. Rachel not only described music and dance of this time period, but also when and why they danced this way, which I thought was very well done. Two interesting facts I learned from Rachel’s website were that the dances a bride partook in were actually viewed as religious acts, and that bagpipes were actually used even this far back in history. Two things I learned about singing are music was taught as part of children’s education at this time, and that some songs of the bible were written by David himself. Sloane could have included a bit more history to improve her website, and Rachel could have chosen pictures that are less modern to improve her already great website.
