For Military Presence and the Law, I used the websites made by Clay Jarvis and Marisa Peryer. To begin, Clay's website was very well organized and designed. The background was eye catching and the information was well spaced out. I loved to learn about the aspects of the armies, and to learn that the single armies were made up of legions, fighting either together or individually. Clay's website was very well done, but if he wished, to add to the eye popping color scheme, one suggestion is to move the pictures up to the top of the page, instead of the bottom. On Marisa’s website, I love the music she added to the website. It makes the page very original and creative! I learned from Marisa’s website that in Jesus’s time, there were five kinds of crimes: crimes against god, crimes against the king, felonies, petty crimes and commercial crimes. One suggestion for Marisa would be to separate the information into three sections instead of two and instead of grouping two paragraphs together, put them in different sections. Both websites were very well written and very creative!

The topics of Military Presence and the Law were done very nicely by Clayton Jarvis and Marisa Peryer. One thing I liked about Clay’s was that he described the Causes for Conflict very nicely. He seemed to really understand the role Zealots played. On Marisa’s website, I was a very big fan of the pictures she chose. They were very colorful and depicted her topic very well. One interesting fact I learned from Marisa’s website is that crimes were broken down into five general categories: crimes against god, crimes against the king, felonies, petty crimes and commercial crimes. The interesting thing I found out regarding this is that crimes against God were dealt with by the Church, and not the governing body. I also learned that beheading was used for noble criminals which was interesting because it must have been the fastest and least painful. One interesting fact I learned from Clay’s website is that Romans were brutal on the battlefield, killing everybody including women. A second thing I learned is that Pontius Pilate was anti-Semitic which I had not known before. One thing I would improve if I was Clay is that I would change the background to a solid color because I think the pattern distracts from the text. One thing I would improve for Marisa is that I would make another header with the label “Crucifixions” because she had a lot of good information about that topic. I truly enjoyed reading these websites and they were both beautifully done.

In order to learn more about military presence and law in the time of Jesus, I visited Clay's website and Marisa's website. I loved that Marisa used background music to set the scene and mood for the information in her website. It was also a good idea to tell the audience to turn the volume up, to maximize the amount of people that get the full experience. I found it very interesting that crucifixion was invented by the Persians, and not in fact the Romans. Although the music did add a nice touch, as previously stated, it would have been better to choose a larger clip of music to accommodate the amount of information, as the same 18 second tune gets a little redundant after a while. Clay's website was extremely attractive, and used eye catching backgrounds, well distributed information, as well as well contrasting text to snatch the readers interest. I learned that one of the main reasons for Jewish resistance against Rome was the religious persecution of Jews. If Clay wanted to improve his website, he could have not bulleted his text that was centered, as it doesn't provide much differentiation. Both of these websites were very well done and informative.

To become more aware of military presence and law in the time of Jesus, I looked at Clay's website and Marisa's website. One thing I enjoyed about Clay's website was his organization of information and the pictures that he included near his work cited that included captions about what exactly the pictures were. On Marisa's website, I loved the background music that gave you a sense that you were actually there in the time of Jesus. Two interesting facts that I learned in Clay's website and Marisa's website are that approximately 100,000 Jews were killed or enslaved when the Romans massacred Jerusalem after the Jews killed a Roman garrison, and that crucifixion was invented by the Persians. To improve Clay's website, I would make the background something different, like a different color, that relates more to his topic. To improve Marisa's website, I would make the text larger to make reading easier. Both Clay's and Marisa's websites were extremely informative and creative.

For more information on military presence and laws, I visited Clay's and Marisa's websites. On Clay's website I like the background that he used and the font of text that he used. on Marisa's site, I like that her text was easy read and sharp. On Clay's website I learned that the siege of Jerusalem by Rome was not something that happened in a matter of days, and that it was a pivotal win for the Romans in their fight against the Jews, as without the city of Jerusalem standing with them, the other remaining cities were quick to admit defeat. On Marisa's site, I learned that there were five general types of crime: crimes against god, crimes against the king, felonies, petty crimes and commercial crimes, and that Forms of punishment included hanging, beheading (for noble criminals), jail (used for storing dangerous people— not a rehabilitation center), fines, exile, and mutilation. One thing that I would change on Clay's site is the background because it didn't really have anything to do with his subject matter. on Marisa's site I would add a few more pictures that related to her topic.

I visited Clays and Marissa's website on military presence and the law. One thing I liked about clays website is the very interesting background he chose. One thing I learned from his is that over 100,000 Jews were killed over the massacre by the romans. if he could do it again I would suggest for him to use a more bland background so people aren't distracted by this and can focus on the information. One thing I liked about Marissa's website is how you could see how much effort was put in it just by looking at it. One thing I learned from her website is just how easy it was to be arrested back in those times. if she could do it over again I would suggest that she could space the information she had on the subject out a bit more. overall I think they both were very good websites.

For Military Presence and the Law I visited Clay and Marisa. First, I visited Clay's website and I really liked how well his organization was and his background. I never knew who Emeperor Caligula was and I never knew that due to the rebellion of Jews, over 100,000 Jews were killed or enslaved. One way he could improve his website is to always state who he is talking about. Overall, Clay's website was very informative. Next, I visited Marisa's website and I really liked her music. It went really well with her topic. I never knew that there were only five kinds of crimes and that beheading was used for the noble criminals due to its "pain free" result. One way Marisa could improve her website is to separate her information into more categories so it is easier to read. Both websites were creative and very informative.

To learn about both war and law in Jesus’s time a visited Clay and Marisa’s websites. On Clay’s website I really liked the background as well as the contrast of the words onto it. This made it very easy on my eyes when it came to reading it. On Marisa’s website I thought that the music was a very nice touch and is something that I have never seen before on a website. I was very interested to learn that a Roman leader named Gessius Florus released thieves and other criminals from prison so that he could have a share in anything that they may steal. Also, I found it interesting that Crucifixion was not a Roman invention but instead, it was an invention of the Persians. Although these websites are very good and I am having a hard time coming up with improvements there are a few that come to mind. In Clay’s case it would have been nice to know the size of a legion, just so I can get an idea on how big Roman armies were. Lastly, one way that Marisa could improve her website would be using a more eye catching color scheme to draw in people’s attention.

To learn about military presence and law I visited clay and Marissa's sites. I really enjoyed the music Marissa had playing in the background of her site. It was a very nice touch and it went well with the topic. On clays website I enjoyed the pictures at the bottom. They gave me a better visual of the topic. Something I learned on Marissa's website that interested me was that there were five general types of crime. They five general laws were: Crimes against god, crimes against the king, felonies, petty crimes and commercial crimes. On clays website I learned that Zealots were Jews against Roman rule. Something that could have been better on Marissa's website was to make her font a little bigger so the words were easier to read. On clays website I would have added a little bite more information about the laws. I really enjoyed both of these websites and learned a lot about military presence and law.

To learn about military presence and the law during Jesus’ time I visited Clay and Marisa’s website. One thing that I liked about their website was the background. One interesting fact that I learned was that each army was comprised of many different legions. Another interesting fact that I learned from clay and Marisa’s website was that Pontius pilot was put in charge of Judea in 26 AD. One improvement that I would make on the website would be to change the color of the letters so that the information would be easier to read and comprehend.

To learn about the Military Presence and Law during Jesus’ time I visited Clay and Marisa’s websites. My favorite thing about Clay’s website was the really cool background and how good the layout looked. The thing I liked most about Marisa’s website was the music in the background and how you could tell she put a lot of effort into it. Two facts I learned about Military Presence and Law from these websites were Pontius Pilate was put in charge of Judea in 26 AD and the Roman military was set up in structures called legions. One way Clay could improve his website would be add some more pictures about his topic. One way Marisa could improve her website would be to make the font a little bigger and add different colors.

In order to read about Military Presence and the Law in Jesus’s time I visited Clay’s and Marisa’s websites. On Clay’s website I enjoyed the amount of information he put on his topic, it made it very clear that he spent a lot of time researching. On Marisa’s website I liked the color scheme she included, and her pictures only enhanced that. An interesting fact I learned from Clay’s website was that if Emperor Caligula did not die at the time he did, mass killings of Jews would have occurred over the statues of him in the temples. From Marisa’s website I learned that the Romans accepted three bases of law: God, man, and nature. Clay could have improved his website by breaking up all his information into tabs and making the background a less distracting pattern. On Marisa’s website one way she could improve would be by making the music player more visible so if someone wanted to pause the music they would be able to do so. Both Clay and Marisa’s websites were well done and very informative!
